Laboratory for Dynamics of Machines and Structures
Analyzing Rotordynamics using the ROSS Python Package

Abstract
The performance and safety of rotating machinery are of paramount importance in numerous industries, from automotive to aerospace. In this aspect, the prediction and control of vibration in rotor systems are essential. The aim of this work is to utilize the ROSS Python package to effectively analyze and visualize rotordynamics in various systems. The thesis will involve understanding the package, its structure, and operations. It will be required to investigate the theoretical background of rotordynamics and apply the ROSS package to conduct the analysis. The research will involve carrying out an experiment to capture vibration data and use the package to analyze vibrations generated by the rotor system. The analysis and visualization will be compared with the expected theoretical results.
